Professional barber & stylist, American Medical Certification Association(AMCA)-Certified Hair Loss & Trichology Practitioner, and someone who lived the scalp problem.

Luk’s barbering journey began in Kuala Lumpur, at a time when structured education in Hong Kong was limited. 

Under the guidance of a mentor who valued community engagement alongside technical skill, her training extended beyond the barbershop and into the community, providing haircuts for the homeless and those in need.

These early experiences enlightened a profound understanding of her craft, it is not merely about hair, but a means of connection and care.

She later pursued her Editorial Hairstyling education in London U.K., and worked at Hershesons, where precision and aesthetic discipline became central to her approach. Her experience at Gentlemen’s Tonic Hong Kong further refined her view of grooming as a detail-led, wellness-led practice.

While barbering in Vancouver B.C., Luk began developing 100% natural formulations to address her own scalp sensitivity. When a client insisted on purchasing her self-formulated natural styling wax, Scalptures™ quietly began.

Today, Luk combines her formal hair loss and Trichology training with hands-on craft. Grounded in scientific understanding and guided by experience, she continues to innovate and improve her unique hair styling solutions with care built in.

Her vision is to create solutions that ensure no one has to compromise wellness or risk hair loss for results.
